| Julie Roberts has been an equal
opportunity practitioner and consultant for fifteen years, with
clients spanning the education, public and private sectors. She
was the Principal Consultant with the Council for Equal Opportunity
in Employment for five years and now manages her own business.
Julie has had extensive experience in developing and implementing
policy, procedures and workplace training related to valuing diversity
and equal opportunity, and is widely respected for her skills
in complaint management, including conciliation and formal investigation
of complaints.
Julie has a teaching background in supervision and management
skills (TAFE) and a research and publication record in the areas
of dealing with sexual harassment in the workplace; gender and
decision making in organisations; and key success factors in the
transition from vocational education and training to employment
for people with a disability. She has also been a regular conference
speaker with the Institute of International Research (IIR).
Julie holds a B.A.(1992) in Economic History and Politics and
a Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations/Human Resource Management
(1996) University of Melbourne. She has completed Advanced Counselling
Skills (Cairnmillar Institute), and is an accredited Conciliator
(TAFE National 1994). Julie is currently completing a Masters
in Organisation, Change & Consulting at RMIT.
